Every Similars group
Below Pro, a similar-photo scan shows its first 8 groups — whole, not blurred: filters, selection and removal all work inside them. Pro shows the rest. A Photos library scan follows the same rule.
Free, Standard and Pro
DuoBolt is free to install and free to use. What the tiers change is how much you can clean in one go, and whether the photo side is unlocked.
The rule the limits follow is worth stating up front: they cap the outcome at scale, never the truth and never safety. Scans and results are never trimmed to sell you something, and restoring what you removed is not a paid feature.

Both paid tiers are a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and each license covers two machines. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Free DuoBolt is not a demo. It scans without limit, shows every group and every file, and removes files for real.
What it caps is a single operation: 25 files, or 500 MB, whichever it reaches first. Files past the cap are not dropped — they stay marked, so pressing the button again continues where it stopped. A large clean-up takes several passes rather than a license.
The screen says so before you commit:

Standard
Section titled “Standard”Removes the operation cap. Unlimited files, unlimited bytes, one run.
Standard is the whole duplicate-file product with nothing held back. It does not unlock the photo side.
Adds the two Pro features:
AI Curation on everything
AI Curation is not itself gated — it runs on the groups you can see. Pro simply means that is all of them.
The trial
Section titled “The trial”Seven days of Pro, free, started from the app. No card, and it unlocks both Pro features in full.
It can be started once per device, and that stays true across a deactivation.
When it ends, nothing is taken away that you had before it:
After the trial, DuoBolt keeps working free with some limits — no lock-out.
You land back on the free tier — full scans, full results, the 25-file operation cap, and the first 8 similar-photo groups.
Upgrading from Standard
Section titled “Upgrading from Standard”Your Standard license stays valid. Pro is a one-time upgrade on top of it, not a repurchase, and activation is instant with the new key. Upgrade to Pro lives in Settings → License.
Coming from DuoBolt 1.x
Section titled “Coming from DuoBolt 1.x”A 1.x license carries over and stays valid as Standard. Pro adds Similars and AI Curation, which are new in 2.0.
